Founded in 1902, Centro Asturiano de Tampa quickly became somewhat of a sanctuary for immigrants from the Spanish autonomous community of Asturias. The venue was built as a social hub for Asturians in the Tampa area and was actually one of the city’s first mutual aid societies. Over 120 years after its construction, it still stands today as an iconic piece of Tampa’s rich history, having been added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1974. Aside from being a famous landmark in its own right, this venue lends its stunning interior to host an array of events throughout the year including auctions, galas and magical Candlelight concerts.
Located in the Ybor City Historic District, Centro Asturiano de Tampa takes pride of place in the heart of this iconic neighborhood. A short 5-minute drive will take you straight to the venue from downtown Tampa, or you could take the 15, 5, 9 or 400 bus.
