Every day we celebrate the work of the feminist movement. However, on International Women’s Day, we highlight the progress made and the challenges still ahead. And among all the platforms there are to empower women, music, time and time again, has served as an engine to carry this message. So, when Beyoncé sang “Who Runs the World? Girls“, we knew she was onto something. The truth is, there’s no lie in that statement.
Pop queens are basically musical superheroines. In their performances, they’ll not only deliver over-the-top vocals but include state-of-the-art props and fireworks, top-tier dancing, and mesmerizing costumes. Don’t believe us? Search for the most viewed Super Bowl performances ever, and you’ll find that all of them were led by women – some even pregnant, such as Rihanna’s. Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Madonna, Lizzo, Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift, Adele, and many more pop queens are known to be trailblazers in the industry because it’s through their talent that they can empower women all over the world a song a time.
